A recent investigation by The Wall Street Journal has uncovered a pervasive culture of sexual harassment, bullying, and discrimination at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The report highlights troubling incidents, including women receiving lewd photos from male colleagues and being harassed during business trips, often with little action taken against the offenders.
Interviews with current and former employees, along with a review of legal documents and complaints, revealed that many supervisors engaged in inappropriate behavior without facing consequences. FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg has come under scrutiny for allegedly ignoring reports of misconduct and fostering a hostile environment.
