El Segundo, CA — Jalux Americas, Inc., doing business as J.sweets, has issued a voluntary recall of two cookie varieties under its L’espoir brand after discovering the presence of undeclared allergens that could pose a serious health risk to consumers with food allergies.
The recall, announced on July 14 and published by the FDA on July 17, affects 32 units of L’espoir cookies (undeclared milk) and 28 units of Drycapot cookies (undeclared almonds and macadamia nuts). Both products were distributed and sold exclusively at J.sweets retail locations in California, Illinois, and Washington. No online sales were reported.

Reason for Recall:
The issue was discovered during an internal inventory audit, which found that the cookies were packaged without proper allergen labeling. This oversight puts individuals with milk or tree nut allergies at risk of severe or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions.

As of the time of the recall, no adverse reactions or illnesses have been reported.
