GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — The renowned Tianyu Lights Festival is making its much-anticipated return to North Texas this winter, showcasing its spectacular Chinese lantern displays at the Texas Trust CU Theatre festival grounds in Grand Prairie from November 7, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Organized by Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc., the leading lantern festival producer in North America, this event will present 19 captivating scenes made from fabric, metal, and LED lights—transforming the venue into a radiant wonderland filled with art, culture, and interactive enjoyment.

Two main exhibits—Starlit Farm and Magic Ocean—are inspired by the creativity of 7-year-old Koda, providing guests with a charming countryside evening and a fantastical underwater journey.
Every evening, attendees can look forward to live cultural performances, including traditional Face Changing (Bianlian), Peacock Dance, and acrobatic displays, scheduled for 6:45 p.m., 7:50 p.m., and 9:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The festival also includes:
- An illuminated playground and interactive Magic Rides (available until 9:00 p.m.)
- A vibrant marketplace with handcrafted Chinese arts, including lanterns and inner-bottle paintings
- A diverse food court offering sweet treats and hot meals from local and visiting vendors

“We’re so happy to be back in Dallas this holiday season,” said Huiyuan Liu, event manager for Tianyu. “The DFW community is wonderfully diverse and welcoming, and we can’t wait to share our lantern festival with families in a bigger, brighter way.”
The event runs Tuesdays through Sundays, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will remain open through major winter holidays. Tickets go on sale October 8, priced between $16 and $35, with an Early Bird discount (15% off) available through November 5.
