
Salisbury, MD – A cloud of uncertainty hangs over Wicomico County following a tragic shooting that claimed the life of 32-year-old Tevin Mumford on October 28. In a concerted effort to bring justice to the victim and his family, the Maryland Department of State Police, in collaboration with Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible.
The Incident
The fatal shooting occurred on a Monday evening shortly after 7:30 p.m. when troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the 800-block of West Road in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Mumford suffering from critical injuries. He was swiftly transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, where, tragically, he was pronounced dead.
In a concerning twist, another victim was also caught in the crossfire. Ekoye Emmanuel Spates, 33, also from Salisbury, was taken to TidalHealth by a bystander before being transferred to Christiana Care in Delaware for further treatment.
