The film is a bold move for Furst, who appears on screen for the first time in his career, processing his own shock and disillusionment with Fauci’s public persona. “This story is too important to be dismissed as political propaganda,” said Lewis Fenton, who co-produced the film with Scott St. John through their production company Bombadil Productions. “We knew we needed to tell this objectively, independently, and without interference.”

Executive producer Arnold Rifkin, a long-time supporter of civil rights and the Democratic Party, said he has received criticism for the timing of the release, but he remains firm in his belief that the public deserves the truth.
“People have lost so much because of this, and it’s time for the truth to come out,” said Rifkin. “I am more interested in exposing the truth than in protecting a political party.”
