Supreme Produce LLC has voluntarily recalled its Supreme Produce Peach Salsa after a warning from its supplier, Moonlight Companies, regarding potential contamination of the peaches used in the product with Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacterium.
This recall impacts 14-ounce containers of peach salsa sold under the Supreme Produce brand at Kroger locations in Illinois, Colorado, Georgia, Washington, Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oregon, and Michigan. The affected products carry the UPC 85006540364 and have “Best By” dates ranging from October 12 to October 29, 2025.
Listeria infections can lead to severe and sometimes fatal health issues, especially in young children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems. Pregnant women are particularly vulnerable, as the infection may result in miscarriage or stillbirth. Generally, healthy individuals may experience flu-like symptoms such as fever, nausea, or diarrhea.
Supreme Produce has stated that the potentially contaminated peaches were sourced from Moonlight Companies, which recently initiated a wider recall of its white and yellow flesh peaches. So far, there have been no reported illnesses or consumer complaints, and the affected salsa is no longer available in stores.
Consumers are advised to inspect their refrigerators and dispose of any recalled peach salsa immediately. Those with health concerns should reach out to their healthcare provider.
For further information, consumers can contact Moonlight Companies’ recall hotline at (855) 215-5017, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
