GLEN BURNIE, MD – A 33-year-old man from Baltimore City is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center following his arrest in connection with a road rage shooting that occurred on Sunday night.
The accused, Andre Williams, was taken into custody at his home in Baltimore on October 28. Authorities executed search warrants at his residence and vehicle, during which they recovered a loaded handgun. Williams faces multiple felony charges, including attempted murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, following consultations with the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. on October 27, when troopers from the Glen Burnie Barrack responded to a shooting on southbound Maryland Route 295. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported being shot at during a road rage altercation with another driver, later identified as Williams. Officers at the scene noted damage to the victim’s vehicle, and crime scene technicians from the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division collected a projectile as evidence.
Additionally, Maryland State Police are continuing their investigations into other road rage incidents that resulted in fatalities, including those of Delonte Hicks, Charles Marks, and Nyah Hairston.
