1. Be Polite and Give Ethical Advice

Treat others with respect at all times.

• No name-calling, trolling, or slapfights

• Do not generalize or demean large groups of people

• Do not advocate for violence or give unethical advice

If another user attempts to provoke you, report them and move on.

2. This Is Not a Place to Find a Date

r/dating exists for discussion, questions, and advice about dating and dating culture.

It is not a place to:

• Find dates or hookups

• Seek sexting partners or cybering buddies

• Look for Kik pals or weekend dates

Posts attempting any of the above will be removed immediately. Please check the sidebar for more appropriate subs.

3. Stay on Topic — No Ads, Spam, or Promotions

All posts must relate directly to dating or dating culture.

• No r4r-style ads

• No spam or promotional content

• No links to YouTube channels, blogs, journals, web apps, or personal websites

• No URLs in posts, comments, flair, usernames, or profiles

4. Mark NSFW Content Appropriately

Discussions involving explicit sexual content must be marked NSFW.

General conversations about sex are allowed, but graphic or explicit descriptions require NSFW tagging. Failure to tag will result in moderators tagging it for you.

5. No Personal Information

Do not share personal information in posts or comments.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Phone numbers

• Chat handles

• Social media profiles

• Messaging app usernames

• Photo-sharing accounts

Sharing personal information that is clearly not your own will result in immediate removal and a ban. What you choose to share privately via messages is your own responsibility.

6. No Harmful or Hateful Rhetoric

r/dating is not a platform for ideological agendas, personal vendettas, or validation-seeking.

Content associated with the following (non-exhaustive) movements or ideologies is not allowed:

• Red pill

• PUA / seduction content

• Incel, blackpill, pinkpill, purplepill

• FDS

Users engaging in this type of rhetoric will receive an immediate ban.

7. No Reposting or Post Flooding

You may submit one post every 24 hours, even across multiple or alternate accounts.

Exception:
You have a 30-minute grace period to delete and repost solely to fix your title. After that, you must wait 24 hours.

Attempts to bypass this rule by deleting old posts will result in a permanent ban.
