ESPN’s College GameDay is set to broadcast live from College Station, Texas, on Saturday, Nov. 30, ahead of the Lone Star Showdown between No. 3 Texas and No. 20 Texas A&M. The game marks the first regular-season matchup between the two teams since 2011, and the first meeting with both ranked in the AP Poll since 2004.
The three-hour pregame show, airing from 9 a.m. to noon ET on ESPN and ESPNU, will originate from Aggie Park on the Texas A&M campus. Host Rece Davis, alongside analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and Nick Saban, will preview the highly anticipated game as well as other key rivalry matchups across the country.
Special guests joining the show include Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian, who will appear live to discuss their teams’ preparations. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day will also join the broadcast to discuss the upcoming The Game against Michigan. In addition, the sports-comedy group Dude Perfect, who are all former Texas A&M students, will serve as the guest pickers for the day.
Fans arriving early will have the chance to participate in Pat McAfee’s Kicking Contest for a chance to win $150,000. The popular segment, which is returning for its second season, will allow selected fans to attempt a 33-yard field goal live on air.
Following the pregame show, the College GameDay team will hand off to the lead game broadcast team of Chris Fowler, Herbstreit, and Holly Rowe, who will call the primetime Saturday Night Football game between Texas and Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The game will also feature an SEC Network Skycast presentation.
This marks the second time this season that College GameDay has visited Texas A&M, and the show has become a staple of the rivalry’s excitement. Lee Corso will also make his 425th mascot headgear pick, continuing his long tradition of game predictions.
As part of its expanded coverage, ESPN will also feature several special reports, including stories on the Aggie Bonfire tragedy, which occurred 25 years ago, and a segment on Michigan quarterback Davis Warren, who overcame leukemia to become a walk-on player.
Fans can also tune in to Countdown to GameDay, a pre-pregame show hosted by Christine Williamson, Harry Douglas, and Harry Lyles Jr., available across ESPN’s digital platforms starting at 8:20 a.m. ET.
College GameDay continues to draw massive viewership, with its Week 13 episode from Ohio State being the fourth most-watched regular season show in history, averaging 2.5 million viewers. With the Texas vs. Texas A&M rivalry rekindled, this episode is expected to be another fan-favorite.
