Primal Supplements Recalls Herbal Product Over Undeclared Viagra Ingredient

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Primal Supplements Group LLC is voluntarily recalling all orders of its Primal Herbs Volume product placed during a 10-week period last year after FDA laboratory analysis found the supplement contains an undeclared prescription drug ingredient, the company announced Feb. 27.

The recall affects orders placed between July 2 and Sept. 19, 2025, on the company’s website. The product is packaged in 8.5-ounce round containers with green labels.

FDA testing confirmed that Primal Herbs Volume contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA-approved prescription drug Viagra, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction. The ingredient is not listed on the product label.

Sildenafil can interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels, according to the FDA. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.

FDA approval of Viagra is restricted to use under the supervision of a licensed health care professional.

Consumers who purchased the product during the affected period should stop using it immediately, the company said. Customers can contact Primal Supplements at hello@primalherbs.com with their order number to receive a complimentary replacement shipment or full store credit, along with return instructions.

The company said it is conducting the recall voluntarily and takes the matter seriously.

Adverse reactions or quality problems experienced with the product may be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online at www.fda.gov/medwatch/report.htm, by mail, or by fax at 1-800-FDA-0178.

Consumers with questions can contact the company at hello@primalherbs.com or +1 (856) 420-6117. Those who have experienced any problems that may be related to taking the product should contact their physician or healthcare provider.

Lidl Recalls Chocolate Ladybugs Due to Undeclared Hazelnut Allergen

ARLINGTON, Va. — Lidl US is voluntarily recalling all lots of its Favorina Chocolate Ladybugs – German-Style Nougat candy because the product contains undeclared hazelnuts, posing a serious health risk to people with allergies, the company announced Thursday.

The recalled 3.52-ounce boxes, UPC 20304492, were distributed to Lidl stores in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia between Jan. 28 and March 11.

People who have allergies to hazelnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product, the company said.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after the company discovered that the product containing tree nuts was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of hazelnuts.

Customers who purchased the product should not consume it and should return it to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund. A receipt is not required for returns.

Consumers with questions can contact the Lidl US Customer Care Hotline at (844) 747-5435 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Saturday.

“The health and safety of our customers is our top priority,” the company said in a statement, adding that it regrets any inconvenience related to the voluntary recall.
