The renowned LuminoCity Festival, famous for its breathtaking light sculptures and engaging experiences, has returned to Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, New Jersey. This festival, operated by a woman and minority-owned organization, has established itself as a key event in the area, and its comeback guarantees even greater thrills for attendees of all ages.
“We are thrilled to come back to New Jersey and share our one-of-a-kind experience with both returning guests and first-time visitors,” said Xiaoyi Chen, founder of LuminoCity. “We’re adding new animatronics, an expanded ‘Bounce Zone,’ a larger kiddie play area, and a brand-new LED dance floor to enhance the festival.”
This year, the festival showcases over 70 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, paired with hundreds of captivating light sculptures. Families can embark on the Dino Safari, excavate fossils in the Safari Dig, and discover hidden treasures in the Fossil Hunt. With food trucks, a relaxation area, and a variety of entertaining activities, there’s something for everyone to appreciate.
Special events this year include a “Back to School” Opening Night, a “Jurassic Fam Jam!” to celebrate National Family Day, and a spooky “Dino-o-Ween” costume contest for Halloween fans. Guests can also pick up unique dino-themed toys and souvenirs from Lumi’s Gift Shop.
