EAST HANOVER, N.J. — Mondelēz Global LLC has broadened its voluntary recall of CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie products in the United States to encompass more code dates and package identifiers, due to a potential choking hazard, as announced by the company.
This expanded recall introduces an additional “Best When Used By” date — May 10, 2026 — along with two new UPC codes for individual pouches found within previously recalled carton units. The initial recall was made public on Dec. 24, 2025.
According to Mondelēz, the recall was initiated after an improper mixing process resulted in small clumps of corn starch forming in the baked goods. The company indicated that these clumps could present a choking hazard, especially for young children and older adults.
