Driving Economic and Charitable Impact
Beyond just the cars, Monterey Car Week serves as a significant economic catalyst and a philanthropic powerhouse. This 10-day event represents more than 5% of the annual hotel room nights in the area, and last year’s auctions broke records—such as the Ferrari F50 fetching $5.5 million at RM Sotheby’s.
Additionally, it acts as a robust charitable engine. More than 100 local nonprofits gain from the proceeds of the event, which support youth programs and community foundations. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance alone generated $3.1 million for charity in 2024 and anticipates exceeding that amount this year, pushing its total contributions to over $45 million.
“Monterey Car Week is more than just horsepower and heritage—it’s a catalyst for economic vitality and community prosperity,” said Rob O’Keefe, president and CEO of See Monterey. “The event places a global spotlight on our region while directly benefiting the people who live here.”
