Partnership with EssilorLuxottica delivers 26 style combinations and multimodal AI assistance
Nearly every major technology company is entering the AI glasses market, with Snap freshly jumping on the gravy train and Google aggressively expanding through its Android XR platform—partnering with fashion houses such as Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and Kering Eyewear to launch AI-integrated smart glasses in 2026.
Today, Meta is expanding its lead in the burgeoning AI glasses sector with the introduction of a new standalone line, Meta Glasses, developed in partnership with Essilor Luxottica. The announcement comes as tech rivals including Snap and Google aggressively push into the spatial computing and wearable AI space, though Meta has secured a substantial market share in the category.

with Kylie Jenner and inspired by her personal style.
Priced at $299, the new line builds on the technology of the company’s previous best-selling AI glasses, offering bold and timeless shapes, rich colors, and premium materials. The company is launching with three distinct frame styles: Meta Adventurer, a clean rectangle shape available in Standard and Large; Meta Fury, a bold statement frame; and Meta Glasses by Kylie, a slim oval design created in collaboration with Kylie Jenner and inspired by her personal style. With 26 color and lens combinations available at launch, the glasses are compatible with prescription lenses.
“We set out to craft a wide range of color and lens combinations,” the company stated, noting that glasses are a highly personal accessory.
The hardware includes three-way adjustable nose pads for personalized fit, open-ear speakers that deliver audio without blocking the ear canal, and an advanced multi-mic array with wind noise reduction for crisp calls and voice control. A dedicated action button allows users to quickly invoke Meta AI or customize it to launch preferred features. The glasses capture photos and videos hands-free, with built-in privacy safeguards including clear settings for data control and an emphasis on respecting the privacy of those around the wearer.
Battery life is rated at over 8 hours, with a foldable on-the-go charging case providing up to 40 hours of additional power.

The device marks the debut of Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, the first model developed at Meta Superintelligence Labs specifically for the company’s products. The rebuilt AI features enhanced multimodal capabilities, enabling smarter answers on topics ranging from sports scores to local restaurant recommendations. The AI can better understand what the user is seeing and assist with daily tasks including habit-building, calendar management, and hands-free navigation.
Muse Spark-powered Meta AI is now also available on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the United States and Canada.
The company highlighted several upcoming software features arriving this month, including dynamic photo capture, which automatically snaps multiple frames and recommends the best shot while still allowing users to select their preferred image. Pedestrian navigation with turn-by-turn directions is coming soon for display less glasses, and live translation will expand to support 14 new languages, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, and Korean, enabling real-time conversations across language barriers.
Meta Glasses are available starting today at Meta.com, Best Buy, Amazon, Lenscrafters, Sunglasses Hut, and additional select retailers. In-store availability can be found at Meta Labs and through the product pages of preferred styles, with broader availability across several countries.
