Orgain, a leading producer of plant-based nutritional products, has issued a voluntary allergy alert due to the possible presence of undeclared peanut residue in a single batch of its 30g Protein Organic Plant Based Powder – Chocolate. The recall affects a 2.01lb tub of the product, which may pose a risk to individuals with peanut allergies or severe sensitivities.
The affected product, identified by the lot code 4172-02-P and an expiration date of June 20, 2026, was distributed nationwide both in retail stores and online. The product comes in a plastic tub with a blue label marked “Chocolate.”

The recall was initiated after a consumer reported an allergic reaction, though no other illnesses have been reported to date. Orgain has stated that its investigation found no discrepancies in the production process for the affected batch. The recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution.
No other Orgain products are affected by this alert, and the company has emphasized its commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Consumers who have purchased the product are urged to stop using it immediately.
