Washington, D.C., USA- January 13, 2020: FDA Sign at its headquarters in Washington DC. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or USFDA) is a federal agency of the USA.
Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. has expanded its January 17, 2025, recall of Shirakiku brand Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snacks to include additional flavors due to the presence of undeclared milk. The expanded recall now includes the Sea Salt & Umami and Corn Potage flavors, alongside the previously recalled Curry Flavor.
The products, sold in 2.46 oz flexible bags, pose a serious risk to individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities. Consumption could result in a life-threatening allergic reaction. The snacks were distributed nationwide across various states, including California, New York, and Texas, and were also exported to Mexico and Peru.
The recall follows the discovery of undeclared milk after samples collected in Baltimore, Maryland, were analyzed. While no illnesses have been reported, consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged to return them for a full refund.
