DENVER — A statewide grand jury has charged Major T. Morgan III and Dillon Rosenbrook with 34 felony counts related to an alleged home remodeling fraud scheme that affected homeowners throughout the Denver area, as announced by Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser on Tuesday.
Morgan, who owns Minimal Modular Modern Designs LLC (M3 Designs), along with Rosenbrook, is accused of collecting substantial upfront payments for remodeling, landscaping, and construction projects, only to fail to deliver on the promised work. Authorities allege that Morgan misappropriated client funds for personal expenses while giving deceptive updates regarding project timelines. Reports indicate that some homeowners lost over $100,000, with total losses amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars across the state between 2023 and 2024.
“This alleged pattern of deception left homeowners with unfinished projects and significant financial losses,” Weiser said. “Coloradans should be able to trust that contractors will use their money as required by law, and those who fail to do so will face consequences.”
The charges include violations of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, felony theft, tax evasion, filing false tax returns, attempting to influence a public servant, and money laundering. Morgan faces 29 counts and remains in custody in Boulder County, while Rosenbrook faces 14 counts and has been released on bond.
Case numbers: 25CR1839 (Morgan) and 25CR1840 (Rosenbrook), filed in Boulder County District Court.
