ALDI is bringing holiday cheer to grocery shoppers this season by offering a Thanksgiving meal for 10 people at its lowest price in five years — less than $47. With inflation pushing grocery prices up across the industry, ALDI’s value-focused approach gives customers relief by providing a full Thanksgiving feast for under $4.70 per person.
The affordable Thanksgiving basket includes all the traditional staples for a holiday meal, such as a Butterball turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, rolls, and ingredients for pumpkin pie. Shoppers can pick up these items without the hassle of sales, coupons, or loyalty cards, making it easier than ever to serve a delicious meal to family and friends.
“Every day at ALDI, we are focused on finding ways to deliver the lowest possible prices for our
customers – and this Thanksgiving is no different,” said Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI. “With 25% of U.S
households now shopping ALDI, we know grocery prices are still top of mind for customers. We worked
hard this Thanksgiving to deliver the best value and quality products so everyone can enjoy a traditional
meal with family and friends without having to scale back.”
ALDI’s commitment to low prices comes at a time when grocery costs have risen significantly across the industry. A recent NielsenIQ study found that grocery prices have jumped 50% since 2019, but ALDI is helping customers avoid those increases with their cost-saving strategies. The store’s unique shopping model — which includes a quarter cart system and displaying products in original packaging — helps shoppers save up to 40% on groceries compared to traditional supermarkets.
The Thanksgiving meal deal also aligns with ALDI’s growing popularity, with the retailer planning to open 800 new stores over the next five years in response to increased demand. More than 25% of U.S. households now shop at ALDI, a trend driven by the company’s commitment to offering high-quality products at low prices.
For seven years running, ALDI has been ranked 1 for Everyday Low Price by the dunnhumby Retailer Preference Index, solidifying its position as America’s value leader. Whether stocking up on weekly groceries or planning a holiday celebration, ALDI continues to deliver unmatched value for millions of shoppers.
The Thanksgiving basket, priced at less than $47, is available in-store from October 16 through November 27, 2024, though availability may vary by location.
