1. Respect Other Users

Please respect the opinions and posts of other users that comply with the content policy.

• Report rule violations instead of arguing in the comments

• Do not tell others how to raise their pets

• Do not instruct users to keep cats indoors or to spay/neuter

All participation must follow the sitewide Terms of Service.

2. No Spam, Memes, Ads, or Karma Farming

Original content is strongly preferred.

• Content found online is discouraged, especially when posted in a way that implies ownership

• Titles or posts suggesting a found image is your own cat may be removed

• Memes, image macros, and low-effort posts are not allowed

We do not allow:

• Fundraisers

• Advertising of any kind

• Self-promotion

Accounts created primarily to promote NSFW content are not permitted. Users who post NSFW content elsewhere may participate only via a separate, SFW account.

3. No NSFW Content, Animal Abuse, or Cruelty

NSFW content, animal abuse, and cruelty are strictly prohibited.

• No photos of deceased animals

  • We understand mourning, but please do not share photos taken after a cat’s passing

  • Photos from their lifetime are welcome

• While hunting is natural behavior, please do not post photos of your cat’s prey

4. No Recent or Egregious Reposts

Reposting recently shared or currently popular content—especially from other subs—for the purpose of karma farming is not allowed.

5. Disallowed Topics

The following topics are no longer permitted:

• “What breed is my cat?”

• “What gender is my cat?”

• Political or politically charged posts

6. “Name My Cat/Kitten” Posts (Flair + Verification Required)

“Name my cat/kitten” posts are allowed only with proper flair and verification.

• You must select the “Name Request” flair at the time of submission

• Failure to use the correct flair is a rule violation

Your submission will trigger an automated message with verification instructions.

Do not email before submitting your post. Messages sent prior to submission will not be answered.

7. No Personal Information

Do not share personal information in posts or comments.

8. No Memes, Low-Effort, AI, or Uncredited Content

• Memes, image macros, and low-effort posts are not allowed

• AI-generated content is prohibited

• Original content is preferred

The “Cat Art” flair is reserved for artwork you created yourself.
If the art is not yours, you must:

• Clearly credit the original artist, or

• Use the “Not OC” flair

Misleading or uncredited content may be removed.
