Forum Rules

- No spam. Irrelevant or promotional posts will be removed.
- Avoid all caps. Writing in all capitals is considered shouting and isn’t necessary.
- Keep images under 800×600. This helps users with slower connections and keeps the forum neat.
- No red text. Only moderators and administrators may use it.
- No personal attacks. Insults, flaming, or harassment toward other members or staff will not be tolerated.
- Use appropriate language. Some members may be younger. Mild swearing is allowed, but keep it minimal and respectful. A language filter is in place.
- No hacking or illegal activity. Discussions or links related to torrents, illegal downloads, or similar content are strictly prohibited and may be reported to local authorities.
- No inappropriate content. If you wouldn’t view it at work or in front of children, don’t post it.
What Happens if You Break a Rule
Consequences depend on the severity of the rule violation:
- First offense (minor): You may receive a private message correction; no further action taken.
- Serious offense: You’ll receive a formal warning recorded to your account.
- Second offense: Another warning will be issued.
- Third offense: A temporary ban may occur, with length determined by the severity of the violation.
- Further offenses: A permanent ban will be applied, meaning you will no longer be able to access the forum.

1. Original Images and Videos Only
You must own the content you post.

2. Title Format
Titles must clearly and specifically describe the food shown.

For image and video posts, the majority of the title should identify the dish

You may also include the location, who made it, or note attempts/failures

All posts must include an appropriate [TAG]
3. Required Title Tags
Every post must begin with one of the following tags:

[I ate] – Food or drinks you purchased and ate with no preparation of your own (restaurant, food truck, vendor)

[Homemade] – Food or drinks made at home by you or someone you know

[Pro/Chef] – Food or drinks made as part of your professional work

[Text] – Text posts for help, feedback, or long recipes

[Produce] – Raw ingredients grown, foraged, butchered, or purchased

[Podcast] – Food or drinks-related podcasts
-
[AMA] – Food or drinks-related AMAs with special guests

4. Video Hosting
All video posts must use Wick & Company News Media native video hosting.
Links to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or other external video platforms are automatically blocked.
5. Be Nice
Be respectful and constructive.

6. Blog and Website Links
All website links are filtered, except for domains on our approved whitelist.
To have a domain approved, the following requirements must be met:

User Interaction: You must actively participate on Wick & Company News Media beyond your own posts

Recipe Sharing: Any recipe link must include the full written recipe in the same comment

Original Media Only: Blogs/websites must use only original, non-AI, non-stock media
7. No Excessively Low-Quality Media
Posts may be removed if the food is not clearly visible.
This includes images or videos that are:

8. No Unauthorized Self-Promotion

10. No Political Content
Do not introduce politics into post titles or comments.
11. No Culture-War or Meme Comments
Wick & Company News Media-born meme replies and culture-war commentary will be removed.
Examples include:

Degrading TV show quotes

Arguments over international food differences
These comments are off-topic, unhelpful, and discourage meaningful participation.
12. Moderator Discretion
Moderators may remove any post, comment, or user if it is deemed detrimental to the community.
