r/jobs Rules
1. No Job Posts or Self-Promotion
This community is not a jobs board.
Job posts, job listings, recruiters, job boards, services, advertisements, or any form of self-promotion—whether free or paid—are not allowed. This includes asking others to find a job for you.
If you wish to advertise, please purchase an ad through appropriate channels.
Surveys require prior moderator approval. Please send a email before posting.
2. General Conduct
This is a professional, family-friendly sub.
-
Keep discussions civil and respectful
-
No foul language
-
No personal attacks
-
No wishing harm to others or yourself
Posts or comments that violate these standards will be removed.
3. Post Titles Must Be Specific
Use clear, descriptive titles.
Avoid vague titles such as “I need help” or similar low-information headings. Titles should clearly indicate the topic of your post.
4. Articles May Be Posted as Links
Articles may be submitted as link posts.
-
Article submissions must begin with [Article] in the title
-
All other content types, including videos, must be submitted as text posts
5. No Off-Topic Posts
Posts must relate directly to jobs or career advice.
Posts that are primarily complaints or rants about coworkers, bosses, or recruiters may be removed as low-quality content. However, moderation will be lenient if the post is reasonably related to the purpose of r/jobs.
The core mission of this sub is:
-
How to get a job
-
How to quit a job
All posts must still comply with the rest of the rules.
6. Contacting Moderators About Filtered Posts
If you message the moderators about a post or comment caught in the filter, you must include a direct link to the content.
Messages without a link will be ignored and may result in a short ban.
