NEW YORK — In the heart of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, beneath the sleek glass-and-wood architecture of Genesis House, a tranquil Korean forest now blooms. But this is no ordinary display of greenery — it’s The Forest Within, an immersive wellness installation born from the creative minds of luxury automaker Genesis and goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow.

Open to the public through June 29, this experiential retreat transforms the brand’s Cellar Stage into a multisensory sanctuary inspired by Korea’s majestic Sobaek Mountains. It’s a meditative journey where technology, tradition, and nature intertwine — with Paltrow’s voice guiding visitors along the path of a mystical Tiger, a revered symbol of protection in Korean culture.
“I’ve always been drawn to the ways technology can deepen our connection to wellness,” said Paltrow. “There are very few places to encounter this kind of immersive, meditative experience — especially in the heart of New York City.”
The installation is a lush convergence of physical and digital storytelling. Acclaimed floral artist Jeff Leatham designed the greenery-rich space, punctuated with Korean natural elements and Paltrow’s favorite flower, the peony. LED visuals, ambient forest sounds, earthy textures, and aromatherapy scents transport guests from the urban bustle to an inner-world of serenity.

At the center of the experience is a meditation meadow complete with a tranquil reflection pool, where visitors are invited to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the present.
“This installation is about pushing the boundaries of what wellness looks like,” Paltrow added. “It’s an opportunity to slow down and experience beauty, design, and healing in an entirely new way.”
Tedros Mengiste, COO of Genesis Motor North America, praised the collaboration: “Together with Gwyneth Paltrow’s creative vision, our shared passion for bold design comes to life as we honor Genesis’ Korean roots with a truly unforgettable seasonal installation.”
Guests can enhance their retreat with a specially curated tasting menu at Genesis House Restaurant. Highlights include Mugwort Gulrim Mandu, tiger-striped Korean spring dumplings; and two inspired cocktails — the Ginseng Petrichor, a soju-based blend evoking the smell of rain, and Hanbang Ppuli, a refreshing zero-proof creation made with ginger, matcha, and honey-ginseng cheong.

Genesis House, known for blending culture, cuisine, and cutting-edge design, continues to redefine how an automotive brand connects with its audience — not just through cars, but through meaningful, immersive experiences.
