Pearl Milling Company Pancake Mix Recalled in Puerto Rico Over Undeclared Milk and Soy Allergens
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – June 4, 2026 – Ballester Hermanos has issued a recall for a limited number of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffles Complete pouches due to undeclared milk and soy allergens, the company announced Thursday.
The recall affects 5.99 oz (170g) pouches of the product, labeled in Spanish as “MEZCLA PARA PANQUEQUES Y WAFFLES” Complete, which were sold in various retail stores throughout Puerto Rico.
Consumers may have purchased this mix starting in January 2026. The recalled product is packaged in a red pouch, and the following specific lot and date information can be found on the back, or in front, of the pouch:

The recall was initiated after the company discovered that the product label stated “may contain milk and soy” instead of the required declaration “contains milk and soy.” This incorrect labeling poses a risk to consumers with allergies or severe sensitivities to milk and/or soy, who could experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product.
To date, no illnesses related to the recalled product have been reported.
Ballester Hermanos is advising consumers to check their pantries for the affected product, refrain from consuming it, and return it to the original place of purchase for a refund.

Nelson & Isa Lacteos Recalls Requeson Cheese in New York Over Listeria Contamination
BAYSHORE, N.Y. – June 5, 2026 – Nelson & Isa Lacteos LLC has issued a recall of 1-pound packages of Requeson Cheese due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the company announced Friday.
The recalled cheese was sold in 1-pound plastic clamshells at retail locations in New York between May 15 and May 28, 2026. The product was likely repacked at retail store locations, and labeling or coding may vary based on the location of purchase.
and’The contamination was discovered after sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Market Food Inspectors. Subsequent analysis by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in an 18-pound plastic container of “Clover Hill Dairy Requeson Cheese” with a sell-by date of 6/14/26 and batch #2AA051526, which was repacked into the recalled 1-pound packages.
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. While healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
To date, no illnesses or complaints have been reported or received regarding this matter.

Target Recalls Up & Up Baby Wipes Over Microbial Contamination Risk
MINNEAPOLIS – June 4, 2026 – Target has issued a voluntary recall of Up & Up Fragrance Free and Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes following customer complaints of product discoloration and FDA testing that identified the presence of Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli in product samples, the company announced Thursday.
The recalled wipes were manufactured by a supplier and sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com.
Use of products contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli may result in serious and life-threatening infections. The products are predominantly used on newborns, infants, and young children, who are particularly vulnerable to opportunistic infection due to their immature immune systems. In healthy individuals, use of the product on skin with minor lesions will more likely result in local infections, whereas in immunocompromised individuals, newborns, infants, and young children, the infection is more likely to spread into the bloodstream, potentially leading to life-threatening sepsis or pneumonia.

The Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes are packaged in plastic pouches containing 72 or 100 wipes, with manufacturing codes from December 29, 2025 (291225X/XX) to December 30, 2025 (301225X/XX) and expiration dates between June 29, 2028 (290628) through June 30, 2028 (300628).
Target and the manufacturer, Sapro Temizlik Urunleri, have received a number of consumer complaints and adverse event reports alleging product discoloration and symptoms such as skin irritation, eye irritation, and infections potentially associated with the use of the product. These reports remain under investigation.
