Gerber Products Company has reissued a public recall reminder for all batches of its Gerber® Soothe N Chew® Teething Sticks, following renewed reports that the discontinued products are still being sold in some stores and online. The original recall was first announced on January 31, 2025, due to a potential choking hazard to babies and young children.
The recall affects all flavors and package sizes of the teething sticks, which were distributed nationwide. The recalled items include:

- Gerber Soothe ‘n’ Chew Teething Sticks, Strawberry Apple, 3.2 oz, UPC 0 15000 04618 7
- Gerber Soothe ‘n’ Chew Teething Sticks, Banana, 3.2 oz, UPC 0 15000 04608 8
- Gerber Soothe ‘n’ Chew Teething Sticks, Banana, 1.58 oz, UPC 0 15000 01015 7
The recall was initiated following consumer reports of choking incidents. Although Gerber officially discontinued the product in January, the company said some recalled items remain on retail shelves, prompting the second safety notice.
“We are issuing this reminder due to recent reports of recalled product still being available for sale,” the company stated. “We sincerely apologize for any concern or inconvenience this action represents to parents, caregivers, and retail customers.”

Consumers are urged not to feed the product to children and to return any purchased items to the retailer for a full refund. Gerber has also asked that consumers avoid buying the teething sticks if they are still found for sale.
For further assistance, Gerber’s customer support line is available 24/7 at 1-800-4-GERBER (1-800-443-7237). Anyone with health concerns should contact their healthcare provider.
The company is continuing to work in full cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure all recalled items are removed from circulation.
