Jack Rocker, 19, of Tampa, Florida, was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and ordered to serve a lifetime of supervised release. The court also mandated that Rocker forfeit an iPhone 12, thumb drive, and Acer laptop used to store the illicit material. Additionally, Rocker must register as a sex offender and pay restitution to his victims.
Rocker pleaded guilty on December 16, 2024. Court documents revealed that he was a member of “764,” a network of online extremists who exploit vulnerable populations, including minors, to promote chaos and societal collapse. The group uses social media platforms to share extreme gore media and CSAM, often extorting minors into producing harmful content.
On January 19, 2024, the FBI searched Rocker’s residence, seizing his electronic devices. Forensic analysis uncovered over 8,300 images and videos of CSAM, including depictions of infants and toddlers being sexually abused, masochistic behavior, and bestiality.
The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and the Justice Department’s National Security Division. The FBI issued a public service announcement in September 2023 warning about such extremist groups, which target marginalized and mentally vulnerable children.
“Individuals like Mr. Rocker exploit our children online for their own gratification,” said FBI Special Agent Cheyvoryea Gibson. “We must equip parents and children with the tools to navigate the internet safely and prevent such exploitation.”
U.S. Attorney Mark Totten urged parents to monitor their children’s online activity and watch for signs of self-harm or exploitation, such as unexpected packages containing razor blades or sexual devices. The FBI also recommended frequent online searches of family information to prevent the spread of personal data.
“764 remains a dangerous network of violent extremists who systematically target children and weaponize child sexual abuse material for the purpose of furthering an accelerationist agenda, destroying civilized society, and causing the collapse of the U.S. Government,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew G. Olsen. “The Department of Justice is fully committed to stopping 764’s acts of terrorism and disrupting the 764 network.”
If you suspect someone is at risk of self-harm or exploitation, contact a healthcare professional or call 911 in emergencies.
“As the allegations in this case demonstrate, the online threats to our children and teenagers evolve and grow every day,” said U.S. Attorney Mark Totten. “Perpetrators can reach kids anywhere, anytime, with devastating effects on our families and communities. My office will do everything in its power to stop this menace and I strongly urge parents, guardians, and anyone who uses a device to be aware and protect themselves.”
