FRANKFORT, KY — Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today that a Christian County Grand Jury has indicted a city payroll clerk from Oak Grove on 15 felony charges tied to allegations of falsifying time records over an extended period.

Hailey Bamford, 38, was indicted on one count of Abuse of Public Trust under $10,000 and 14 counts of Tampering with Public Records, all Class D felonies. According to the indictment, Bamford allegedly manipulated the city’s accounting system to falsify her work hours between May 2022 and October 2023, resulting in unauthorized compensation.

The Kentucky State Police led the investigation, and Assistant Attorney General Barbara Whaley presented the case to the grand jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.

Bamford was arrested following the indictment, and bond was set at $15,000. A mugshot has been made available to the public.

“This indictment reflects our commitment to holding public employees accountable when trust is violated,” said Attorney General Coleman. “Public service requires integrity, and our Special Prosecutions Unit will continue working to uphold that standard across Kentucky.”

As with all criminal proceedings, the charges are *******allegations, and Bamford is presumed *******innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
